Humans are born into the world, innocent; without sin; absent of any burden of sin committed by their ancestors.
The jewish view of sin is defined as; straying from Torah; straying from goodness; straying from the straight righteous path.
“chet” Hebrew word for sin; is the result of our human inclinations; our deviation from the path of Torah.

There are times in ancient history; the custom of “Tashlich” endangered jewish lives and the Rabbi prohibited the custom of “Tashlich” on Rash Hashanah; reason being= the non-jews became fearful, the jews were casting spells or poisoning the water.
