As a catholic Sunday mass was a choice; a good catholic attended on Christmas and Easter.
Muslims don’t have any type of Sabbath
The Jewish have no choice; Sabbat is a demand from Gd to honor him and remember his hand in Egypt
The date for the first Shabbat: 1500/1400 Bc:
Shabbat is the first and direct teaching for obedience spoken by Gd of how to honor him
Manna: is the bread given by Gd and Gd taught Shabbat using Manna.
Manna was described as seed white and tasted like Honey
@) first day of freedom from Pharaoh:
“people were hungry and started grumbling ; Gd heard their grumbling; Gd said at dusk you will be eating meat and have your fill of bread tomorrow morning”
“ that evening quail came up and covered the camp”
“ The next morning a layer of dew was all around the camp; the people said “ Man’hu”;
meaning= what is it? Moses replied ” it is the bread which Adonai has given you to eat”
“ From then on, the people called the fine flaky substance, Manna”
“ the dew evaporated to a fine flaky substance; a fine frost like substance; as the sun grew hot, it melted;
“ No left-overs are to be kept” ; the manna will rot+breed worms; Every morning; each person is to gather according to appetite= 2qt each;
Moses gathered the community leaders and told them , tomorrow is a Holy Shabbat for Adonai ; today, gather your normal amount and it will turn out to be twice as much;
all baking and boiling is to be done; make leftovers for tomorrow there won’t be Manna;
the seventh day is a Holy Shabbat to Adonai and a day of rest.
Some disobeyed on the 7th day and went to gather and found no Manna. Adonai became angry and asked the disobedient How long will you refuse to observe my mitzvoth and teachings.
Moses said; This is why he is providing bread for two days on the sixth day. Each of you stay where you are. No one is to leave his place on the seventh day.
So the people rested on the seventh day.
here is what Adonai has ordered; let 2quarts of manna be kept through all your generations so that they will be able to see the bread which I fed you in the desert when I brought you out of Egypt;
Moses said to Aaron; take a jar; put in it 2 quarts of manna; set it aside before Adonai to be kept through all your generations;
Shabbat has been observed by the Jewish People for 3,323yrs and counting.
