BC-7th-century: king Josiah found a lost scroll of the book of Deuteronomy, the king took it as a sign from Adonai and made a political decision to encourage Israel to return to Gd and initiated the National “T’shuvah” meaing “return to Gd”
Deuteronomy: is the last book of the Torah titled d’varim meaning: “words” the English Version comes from the Greek word “deuteronomion” meaning: “ repetition of the law” Rabbinic literature subtitles the book “ Mishnah Torah” meaning “repetition of the Torah”
Deuteronomy; is Israel”s written Constitution and an legally binding covenant between Adonai and the Jewish people
Deuteronomy: is 100% written by jewish priest and repeats the instruction given by Moses;
Deuteronomy: is a teaching tool to pass on crucial lessons and obligations to future generations so there will always be blessing to family, friends, neighbors, kings and a Justice system by obedience to Adonai the Gd of Israel.
Deuteronomy: is in todays standards equal to a National Constitution and parallel to ancient Middle-Eastern Treaties to establish legal and just law in the communities of the state.
