Does anyone know anything about the backgrounds and Jewishness of the late Zola Levitt or the fellow who presently runs that organization, Myles Weiss, or those Jews for Jsus guys, Tuvya Zaretsky, Moshe Rosen or Jhan Moskavitz or this independent messianic evangelist Zev Porat?
I can't find reliable or even detailed information on the internet to paint a good picture of their background stories and previous knowledge about Judaism before joining their christian movements.

Jhan Moskavitz has passed and is one of the original founders of J4J group...the group has YouTube videos detailing his life. He did debate Rabbi Singer on the radio previously tho....

Yeah, but the problem is that J4J missionaries, and all Messianic Missionaries claiming Jewish backgrounds, like to inflate the prestige of the Judaism that they were exposed to prior to becoming Christians. It gives them credibility. In the bios that I've read from or pertaining to Jhan Moskavitz, he was been characterized has having been raised everywhere from being a staunch Orthodox Jew to only a traditional Jew with a limited Jewish education. Who was he really?

Funny thing is I recall something of he was secular at one point as well,..I met a messy-antic "rabbi" that explained his "Jewish" back ground,... he did have a bar mitzvah ,.. had to have notes to "read" the Torah portion ... I could read more Hebrew then he could. At which point he told me I was "too Jewish" . He was very uncomfortable around me because of his actual lack of rabbinical training ,... how much more would he be in the midst of Rabbi Singer.

That sounds very consistent with the messianic rabbis that I've heard off, too, and encountered online. Their Jewish education is always lacking, and then what is most mind-boggling is that they don't realize that their Jewish educations are poor. Some really think observant Jews do things like eat at McDonalds, or go to the mall on Shabbat.
