The first two days of Sukkot operate like Shabbat, but cooking is permitted under the direction of a qualified Rabbi. Meals and free time are ideally spent in the sukkah and a lulav and estrog are shaken on this holiday. Melachot such as writing, driving and using the internet may be resumed tonight, 1 hour after sundown. *Please keep in mind that those who are taking steps toward observance should not take on more than they can handle at once. It's okay (and even recommended) to move at a manageable pace. If you're not ready to observe a particular mitzvah or holiday "all the way", try doing it in moderation or in part until you feel comfortable and confident taking on more. Have a wonderful holiday no matter what your level of observance is.
