Hey people,
So I left the Catholic Church not too long ago. I spent a lot of my free time when I was in good health reading scripture and trying to build a relationship with God and I was moved by the story of Jesus. I would sit down at catholic mass and I would say the creed and go through all the rituals like the communion, etc. I started to not really get the creed where it talks about how Jesus is one with the father and that there is a trinity. I decided to seek out a bunch of different alternatives to clarify all these things so I ended up finding some Messianic information such as One for Israel. Eventually I came upon Tenak Talk and I gained a better and more logical understanding of the God of Israel, blessed be he. I started to understand that a lot of the catholic ideology and theology seemed like delusions because a lot of the scripture in the Tenak seemed like it didnt point anywhere but to Hashem. But there is another idea that is looming. Genesis talks about the bene haelohim or the sons of God and it seems pretty evident that Jesus was proclaimed to be the son of God somewhere in the Christian new testament. Could it be possible that Jesus was a son of the Most High but not a Moshiac or Christ as the Latin translation? I know that it is possible to have many messiahs...David was anointed as was Cyrus. Or could he have been a messiah that did the will of God? One other point is the idea that Jesus is considered a savior by Christians, even though the Tenak states that Hashem is the only savior. Is it possible that Jesus was a savior of the man named Jesus Bar Abbas who was let out of prison at Jesus' trial and that this is where the idea of Jesus as savior comes from for christians?
I really do think that the Rabbis on Tenak Talk have the truth or have got it right and really know the Torah and Tenak. What the rabbis say on this broadcast is from scripture and it doesnt get twisted and doesnt seem delusional.
Thank you if you take the time to read this.
